Tossing the football in the backyard

Sunday, April 20.  Hey all.  Wouldn't you know it, another beautiful day in Michigan.  Probably not quite 70 degrees, but pretty nice and the sun made appearances throughout the day.  I had a good day.  Taught my 5 lessons in the morning until 2pm, went home to relax and get a few things done, then went to Eli's birthday party at Steve and Emily's house at 4.  Paula and I then went to my house to just hang out and taste her homemade lemon creme pie (excellent by the way, and it will be a staple of the new pie making business she is starting!).  At about 9, Rick stopped by to spend the night before heading back to Chicago tomorrow morning.  The three of us hung out until about 11 when Paula went home.  Now I'm writing today's entry.

Wow.  Truly my entire day.  I don't think I've done that before, but I've got another new thing that will be my entry for the day.

At Eli's birthday party, I tossed the football around first with Paula (and she really can throw) and Zeke.  It was fun to throw the pigskin in the yard and although I've done that before, it's been years and I definitely had new receivers that I've never tossed to before.  Sometimes, simple things bring great joy and a smile to your face.  Anyway, I hope I don't wake up with a sore arm tomorrow, but we'll see.  As the weather gets better, I itch more and more to go play golf.  So that's gonna happen pretty soon if the weather stays like it is.

Enjoy your day, appreciate how lucky we are, and smile lots everyone.  I'll talk to you again tomorrow.  Later.
