Today, my fifth lesson of the day was Alain and Janet, who have taken lessons with me for years. They wanted to have me take a look at each of their swings and also talk about putting. Now that's a lot to do in 50 minutes. But today, instead of really watching the clock and making sure things finished on time, I decided to do and give all I could until what needed to be done was done. That made the lesson last an hour and five minutes. But for the first time, I didn't care, even though that meant my sixth lesson, Bill, had to wait. I just decided to do what I had to do with Alain and Janet, and just somehow knew that Bill would be ok and I'd do what I had to do with him too, even if that meant staying a little extra.
I really enjoyed giving 100% to all of my students, and liked even more that I wasn't anal and overly concerned with time. Time's time. I've got all the time in the world until my time runs out, right? While teaching from now on, I will present myself like I did today and do what I have to do until it's done right. And if I go 5 minutes too long or if we end 10 minutes early, who cares. It's just time. I think giving my heart and soul makes me feel way better than giving exactly 50 minutes of time. Anyway, off to an early dinner now. Smile and enjoy life, and let life take you where it wants to take you. We'll talk again tomorrow. Bye!
