A new kind of Fourth of July

Friday, July 4.  Hi everyone!  I hope all of you are well, I am excellent.  Today was my day off, and my first chance to get some rest and sleep in for weeks.  So I did, and spent a morning relaxing and hanging out with Paula.  We then went to Miles and hit some balls together for the first time all year, which was nice.  Finally, we drove to Clark Lake for our annual Fourth of July trip.  For the first time, though, there were no kids at all.  Just adults.

In the last three years, there has always been a younger presence and a different vibe with past July fourth celebrations on a lake, so the vibe was much more chilled out and different.  But still nice and a pleasant time.  It's a beautiful lake and the fourth celebration is a cool day, with the local residents firing off fireworks themselves.

Anyway, it's off to work tomorrow again.  Things are good, I am happy, and life is awesome.  I also have decided to take Sunday off this week too, so I have three of four days off for the first time in a while.  Maybe I can play golf some.  My game the other day with Justin, Casey, and Brent was a sign that I need to really get my game in shape.  For no other reason than I think that I can play at a much higher level than I am.  So I'll make that a goal for the rest of this summer.  I'm making it important, so it'll happen.

I'll talk to you tomorrow, as usual.  Have a great day, enjoy, and remember to look at life, observe, and smile and laugh!  See you tomorrow.
